Coprinopsis atramentaria, a species of mushroom in the family Psathyrelaceae. Commonly known as inky cap. It is a wide spread and common fungus found throughout the northern and southern hemisphere. The black liquid that this mushroom releases after being picked was once used as ink.
This mushroom was observed at Roraima Nursery, Lara, Victoria, Australia.
